Wine history - terroir

Winery history

It has been said and repeated many, many times, that a good wine is not only what goes into your glass. To be more precise, hidden in every sip of wine is the culture of a region, the unique aspects of microclimate and geology of its vineyards, the work of its farmers and their ancestors, the wisdom of the winemakers, and a story that began more than 3,000 years ago. It would, however, be wrong to make wine so "divine" that you would have to consider these aspects with every glass drunk, but sometimes the occasion calls for it. More to the point is having the opportunity of discovering wine regions and vineyards, just by yourself.
